A 55-year-old Huonville man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of an 85-year-old woman in Huonville on Sunday, August 30, 2026, Tasmania Police confirmed in a media release.
Police were called to a residence on Stride Street in Huonville at approximately 4:30 AM on Sunday morning, where they located a woman deceased within the home. The deceased is believed to be an 85-year-old woman who resided at the address.
